Two Tigres

Put three hot Gretsch guitars in with a couple Tibetan tigres, and whaddaya get? Naw, you wouldn't see them all together, most likely. Hardly anyone bought the Gretsch White Penguin in its day. It was maybe too cool? But I just saw Jack White with one! The Gretsch White Falcon was another story. It's still hot today. Petey wouldn't let us get fooled again, would he? The White Falcon's the old boss, and it's the new boss too. Greenie's a rarer bird. The ‘50s country cats cleaned out the dancehalls all over the South with axes like it, cause it had the make and the sound of the pricey models, but a regular string bender on a budget could somehow, just barely make the payments on it and his pickup truck, too, and maybe have fifty cents left over to buy a girl a soda or something. But every one was a twangy son of a gun that could blast raw chords all the way to Bakersfield and incinerate every set of ears in the way.
