Boddhisatvas are perhaps the most sublime beings in the Buddhist pantheon, having attained nirvana but choosing to remain among us to spread the wisdom of enlightenment and continue to do their good works rather than leap off the cycle of rebirth and join the cosmos. Possibly the rarest type, this winged Boddhisatva challenges us with its absolute stillness and pulsating aura that penetrates the being of all who fall into its presence.
