The Resonators

Resonators sing the blues! Starting back in the ‘30s, maybe even the ‘20s, bluesmen looked to acoustic resonator guitars to project a bigger sound in those crowded roadhouses, noisy dance halls and smoky bars. On the right, the legendary National Tri-cone, still highly sought after these many decades later. To its left, the fabulous Dobro F-60. National or Dobro, that debate still rages among the cognoscenti. The rug? A nice Tibetan temple rug, often hung in doorways as a portable door or used as a pad for monks to sit or sleep upon.
